Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!
December 20, 2006 -- Decorations are up all over Geneva and it's a Christmas wonderland. The main shopping streets are festive and full of shoppers and the weather finally has a chill in the air.
I'm happy to be here for the Christmas season as everyone really seems to be in the spirit. I expected some snow, but we haven't gotten any yet. There is snow on the Jura, and of course on the Alps and the Montblanc, but none down in Geneva yet.
I have been working harder on French lately and having fun. Even learned to say "Merry Christmas" and have been saying it to everyone I possibly can. I will be going back to the US for the actual holiday, spending it with my sons, then we are all coming back to Geneva for a week of skiing right after Christmas. Hopefully there will be plenty of snow.
I want to take this opportunity to wish everyone a glorious holiday season and to wish you all a Happy New Year.
